This event for our client Lodestar took place at the Williams F1 conference centre in Oxfordshire.


Our 3.2mm pitch LED screen system provided a visually stunning backdrop for FCA Used Cars’ presenters to deliver their messages against.


The audience of almost 200 viewed content across the 8.5m wide, 3m tall screen. The pixel space was over 2600 pixels wide, allowing for crisp graphics and text, and high-resolution backgrounds to be displayed.


The system was controlled with Spyder X20 which allowed us to display beautiful backgrounds with PowerPoint content pipped over the top. This can be a great solution when either full-width content is not desirable, or time or budget constraints don’t allow for bespoke presentation design to fill the whole width of the screen. It also allows ample space for the presenter to move around in front of the screen without blocking the audience’s view of the information on the slides.


This solution was ground supported, so is ideal for venues with limited space for projection or where flying support is not an option.


Our client was extremely happy with the outcome of this event, and our Project Manager Rich Hart commented: “They thought it was amazing”!

We took a major vehicle launch up a gear with incredible sound, vision and stage design.

We provided full throttle technical support for an American car manufacturer launching a new model at the Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome.


Speeding into action, Universal Live provided all the vital foundations of a successful event: project management, venue liaison, CAD plans, and power. We also installed a powerful, agile sound system and HD projector for a seamless, resplendent launch that reflected the quality and prestige of the brand.


But how could we hide the cars before the big reveal? We built a cover made from stretchy material attached to enormous circular rings to conceal the vehicles, while giving the audience a hint of the shiny feat of engineering that sat underneath.

We took this car launch into overdrive by providing:


  • All the essentials, including project management, venue liaison, and cad plans.
  • An impressive main room featuring a full HD DLP Panasonic projector and live back-up, with a 65” HD Plasma to act as a comfort monitor for the presenters.
  • We installed a full-range d&b PA system – complete with both handheld and lapel radio microphones. Over.
  • A full lighting show including stage wash and effects, complete with LED battens to uplight the set, Robe MMX Spots and LED washes for atmosphere.

All aboard! We helped BP Shipping celebrate their worldwide event – the BP Shipping 100.

This exciting undertaking involved technical support in Singapore, Chicago, Houston and London, with our team travelling to each event to help out every step of the way. The event even won the ‘Energy & Utilities Event of the Year’ prize at the 2015 C&IT Awards.


Our design team worked diligently for weeks in preparation for this mammoth undertaking, producing and printing specially created expo boards along with an enormous 30-meter timeline highlighting the salient points of BP’s 100-year history. We even visited the archive at Warwick University to source interesting artefacts to accompany this continent-spanning event.

The London leg took place at the elegant Grosvenor House, with a dinner for hundreds of long-serving BP Shipping employees. We provided amazing light, sound, large screens, a 3d floating logo and a stage to accommodate a male-voice choir.


We made this award-winning project a roaring success by providing:

  • Design and visualisation across all venues.
  • Site visits at each location around the world.
  • Liaison with local suppliers to source important items and artefacts.
  • Organised shipping of priceless BP artefacts to each event.
  • After the tour concluded we arranged safe return of all the artefacts to the BP Archive.
  • Finished off with a slick London event with full technical support.

We’ve worked with Soccerex since its inception over 20 years ago, helping create football themed events all over the world.

When it comes to football events, we have safer hands than David De Gea. For the past three years we’ve helped create the Global Convention at Manchester Central: a 2 day festival complete with 5 a-side pitch, ex-players, coaching sessions for local youngsters and street-skills competitions.


We provided the stage, the set and the set-wrap graphics, plus HD cameras, HD projectors and a d&b sound system. During the event we recorded footage and edited it overnight, providing Socorex with YouTube friendly marketing videos on a super quick turnaround.

We came up with the idea of large format edge-blended projections instead of the traditional static set graphics, creating dynamic, dazzling sessions. This also allowed Soccerex to individually sell sponsorship for each session, as we could now change the backdrop instantly.


What we did for Soccerex:

  • Set up the stage, pitches and organised the event logistics.
  • Provided loads of innovative audio visual kit.
  • Bespoke projected graphics.
  • Edited and delivered event footage within a day.
  • Double edge-blended projections.
  • Scored at least three goals (and got an assist).

We took the creative lead in the project, producing a slick annual conference on an affordable budget for Business South. The event took place at Norton Park, a QHotel.

Our friendly on-site AV Manager knows the venue like the back of his hand, and has built great relationships with the venue’s events team. Installing twin screen white panels, topped off with a central printed graphic complimented by custom vinyl graphics throughout the venue.

We offered a cracking service for this conference, providing:

  • Full technical solution including sound, light, vision, stage and power.
  • Branded visuals for the event.
  • Computer Aided Design planning of the event and set.
  • Custom design and printing for the event graphics.

This was a mouth-watering job that our whole team couldn’t wait to get our teeth into! We provided the full service on this project, helping to organise a lavish dinner complete with guest speakers, light show and after-dinner band, with full technical support and lighting design.

Our mission was the create an resplendent, lively atmosphere that would keep guests entertained while the drinks were flowing and gourmet food was being enjoyed.

Our super talented technical team set up a range of immersive speakers and twin screens to showcase the branded content and live video feed from the stage, as well a captivating light show.

Yum! We made this enormous food-based event extra tasty by providing:

  • Full venue liaison including setting up a huge 100 rigging points.

We organised a daytime conference with a swanky evening award ceremony and after party at The Roundhouse, London.

A well known UK retailer commissioned our team to help create an impressive awards ceremony and lively after party at the world famous Roundhouse venue. We planned the whole thing using CAD, 3D visualisation and loads of site visits to ensure we utilising this unusual venue to the max.


The award show took place on a circular stage, with 6 projection screens streaming bespoke content and live video feeds, so all attendees could get a perfect view.

After the ceremony ended, as if by magic the stage disappeared, (into the truss circle) revealing a dance floor. Mirror balls descended from the ceiling and the guests were free to catch their breath then let their collective hair down. We also had glitter cannons. Everyone loves glitter cannons.


We made of the most of this historic venue by providing:

  • Venue liaison, site visits, CAD, 3D visualization, content management
  • All rigging, truss, generic & intelligent lighting & control
  • Mics and communications equipment to supplement in-house kit.
  • Glitter cannons (who doesn’t love a glitter cannon?)
  • All screens, projection (Panasonic HD DLP projectors), vision mix
  • Highly skilled technical crew

We took a major vehicle manufacturer’s awards show into the fast lane.

We set the wheels in motion for this vehicle manufacturer’s awards show by project managing the crew, technicians and providing set design, visualization and computer aided design of the function room.


Our technical team raced into pole position by installing twin projection screens incorporated into a set of LED panels to show impressive animations across the whole space. Our intelligent lighting brought drama, anticipation and class to proceedings, while the savvy set design allowed the night to run seamlessly.

This Oscar-worthy event used these technical services:
